Until the latter part of last year I had predominantly been a road runner until the persistent badgering from my mate Don (pot hunter) Reid finally wore me down and I agreed to join Westerlands and ran my first hill race, The Devils Burden. I ran first leg with Brian Brennan and it was a real baptism of fire as I found it to be tougher than anything I had previously experienced.
It has been some what of a revelation to me and has introduced me to a whole new world of running. My only regret is that I was not introduced to it sooner.
