The most daunting hill race in Scotland, with the roughest toughest descent.
The race distance is actually 14km (8.7 miles), rather than the often quoted 16km (10 miles).
The 2010 race is part of the SKY RUNNER WORLD SERIES.
The records have stood since 1984, held by Kenny Stuart (1:25:34) and Pauline Haworth (1:43:25), however the 1986 race also had a very fast winning time from Colin Donnelly (1:25:48) that has not been beaten since.
